Good evening! I’ve had an excellent Saturday so far, I hope all of our weekends are going well. I’ve just come back from shopping in Oxford, where it was all super Christmassy and festive! On the downside, it was bloody freezing, so I was cold outside and overheating in every shop because of all the layers I was wearing. Not ideal, but we had a lovely lunch, I met up for coffee with an old friend, and I *may* have picked up a little something from Mac… oops! Anyway, on with this week’s favourites.
1. Hoop earrings
Confession: up until last week, I had never owned a pair of hoop earrings. Recently I’ve seen them on everyone, and I picked up a few pairs on the cheap from Accessorize. They’re gold and oh so cute, and I love them! I’ll definitely be getting some more in the future. They just look a little bit more sophisticated than studs, and they of course go with everything. I’ve been switching between the 3 slightly different styles all week!
2. Christmas Tea
Yum! This is like normal tea, but with a bit more flavour, the tiniest hint of Christmas. It’s great, and perfect for drinking copious amounts of as the weather gets colder and colder.
3. Amazon’s Black Friday deals
I’m not a massive fan of Black Friday, the crazy rushing and panic to get to things in the shops is just plain scary. But Amazon start doing their Lightning Deals a week before Black Friday, and although many of them are a bit random and boring, you can grab a great deal if you’re on the ball. When I’m bored, I’ve taken to scrolling through the latest deals which are live! It’s always interesting as well to be able to see what other people are buying lots of…
4. Christmas cushions
I know, I know, this is the second Christmas-themed item in this favourites post. I recently added a couple of these to my collection (which have of course been out on my bed since the start of November), including the big silvery grey one at the front which was part of my anniversary present from Matt. I love homeware, and I especially love Christmas homeware, but with a very small room and not having a place of my own, I often haven’t got the space for things. Cushions are my little compromise!
5. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
Weird name but amazing foundation! I’ve never been very much of a foundation gal, much preferring tinted moisturisers and light bases like the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, so this foundation is perfect. It provides a bit of coverage, but is very light, blends in easily, and doesn’t feel sticky throughout the day. In fact, it makes my skin feel quite nice and soft. It’s obviously not the most long-lasting, but as a lighter foundation it doesn’t show too much as it starts to wear. Perfect for me, and I’m not sure why I haven’t tried it sooner!
Hope you’ve all had lovely weekends, I’ll be back in the week!
