Looking at previous posts, I noticed that I was sitting on 199 posts published, making this one my 200th post. I also happened to notice that I had quite a few drafts waiting to be published – unfortunately, most were from 2017! So here’s a little compilation of what was missed, what my thoughts were at the time, and what I think of it all now.
It’s not a surprise that the majority of my early unpublished drafts focus on beauty and make up. Way back in 2016, I planned to post about some products I picked up from Kiko. Their special edition collections were always intriguing, as with the frequent release from MAC. Looks like I picked up a giant bronzer (I used this for ages), an eyeshadow, a body spray, and the Radiant Boost primer, the latter of which I also used a considerable amount of before it got a bit old. I’m definitely not as big a fan of Kiko as I was, but I would still go there for affordable make up, especially their powder products.
Next up was a review of the Mix & Mask box, which was a collaboration back in 2016 between Origins and British Beauty Blogger. It came with a ton of trial-size and a few full-size Origins products, many of which I still use today (not the same ones, don’t worry!). I have to say, the Drink Up Intensive overnight mask is hands down my favourite Origins product, and one which I always have a spare of.
In the summer of 2017, I bought A LOT of eyeshadow palettes, and looks like I planned to do a bit of a round up of the palettes I was loving that summer. Unfortunately I haven’t uploaded the pictures I planned to use, so I don’t even know which palettes I liked so much! I’m pretty sure this would have included the Naked Heat palette from Urban Decay though, which I got a lot of use out of.
I also had a Sephora haul and review, presumably from my trip to the US that year. But again, no idea what I bought! I also had a whole post planned about our weekend in Dallas, and a Food Tour post to highlight all of the amazing American food which we ate. Clearly not a good time for blogging!
Finally, and still in 2017, I planned to write about my time at Cheltenham Literature Festival, which is held in October every year. I won’t go into too much detail, as I’m going again this year and will actually try and post about it this time around! However, for now please enjoy these photos of me looking similarly super awkward with three different authors :’)
So that’s it! My 200th post. Look out over the coming weeks for a recap of my recent holiday, more book-related content, and hopefully a couple of random posts which I’ve got half-formed ideas for…
