Apologies for my short absence, but I have once again been on holiday! This has been quite the year for holidays, one which I know I won’t get to recreate any time soon, and so I jumped at every opportunity to get out of the country (or sometimes just to other parts of the country). As you may be able to tell, this time Matt and I jetted off to Bratislava, in Slovakia. Most people, when told where I was going, would either reply…Continue Reading “Ďakujem, Bratislava”

It’s only this past year that I’ve really discovered tapas. Being an extremely fussy eater, I simply presumed that I wouldn’t like anything, so stayed clear. When my boyfriend and I went to Barcelona 2 years ago, he was keen to try the tapas which the city is famous for, but I stayed clear. However, when we went again in April this year, I was *slightly* more keen to try some. Fortunately, there are quite a few dishes which I like, and we ended up…Continue Reading “Me Encantan Las Tapas”

I haven’t updated much recently, as my last post dealt with, and one of the best events of the last couple of months was my trip to Barcelona – for a whole week! My boyfriend and I have been before, a couple of years ago, but only for a few nights. A week in such an amazing city was so worth it, and allowed us to see and do so much more, and we didn’t have to cram everything we wanted to do into a…Continue Reading “Barcelona: Food, Culture, and Plenty of Plane Problems”

After my previous post about my birthday, this might seem like I’m spamming you a bit with my life story, but I promise it’ll be back to more diverse posts soon! Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, something which I have come to enjoy after four consecutive years coupled up. This is my third Valentine’s with my boyfriend Matt, and it doesn’t seem like that long at all! I love to celebrate occasions like this, and so we always do cards and gifts, and we try to…Continue Reading “My Valentine’s Day: Brunch, Books, & Takeaways”

I’m already struggling to find things to write about! I’m squeezing this post in right at the end of the day, as I’ve been buried under a pile of uni work for most of it, so I just wanted something quick to write about. I should have more time soon (maybe not tomorrow) so I can dedicate way more time to these posts! Today I thought I would do a list of my favourite things at the moment, fashion, beauty, TV, food etc. EAT// I haven’t…Continue Reading “What I’ve Been Loving Lately (Blogmas Day 3)”

Welcome to my new website! The same This is Lilli blog with a brand new domain name and snazzy new layout and design. Yay! I’ll be 100% writing the same kinds of posts, basically about anything and everything that interests me, plus all of my old posts have been transferred here so they’re all there for everyone to take a look at. This has all come about because it was mine and my boyfriend’s two year anniversary over the weekend (well, Friday, but we decided…Continue Reading “New Website, Anniversary, and Christmas – Updates #2”

Nearly 2 weeks ago now, I signed up to do the 100 Happy Days challenge, where you find something happy about every day for 100 days (duh). I chose to post about it over Instagram, which has actually been harder than I thought, because there are a lot of little things that make me happy that I either forget to take a picture of, or it’s just a conversation with friends, or some kind words from someone, which are difficult to capture. I’ve been quite…Continue Reading “#100happydays”

Last night, my boyfriend Matt and I went on a bit of a date. I call it a bit of a date, because I feel like I’ve never really been on a proper date. What I mean by a ‘proper date’, is something like a first date, going out to dinner or a movie with someone who you’re only just getting to know. The accepted protocol seems to be that people go on several dates before they become involved, and definitely before they are considered…Continue Reading “Date Night”

The title of this post pretty much sums up what was most important to me on my recent holiday to Egypt. My boyfriend Matt and I stayed at a HUGE hotel complex in Sharm El Sheikh, and as expected it was absolutely gorgeous. and ridiculously hot. Weather like this… … unfortunately meant that our air conditioned room quickly became a cool haven at numerous points during the day, which only slightly cut into our tanning time. Okay, I could barely lie in the sun for more…Continue Reading “Sun, Pool, Cocktails, and Air Conditioning”

Today was my boyfriend Matt’s graduation from university, which I got to go along to. We both go to Oxford, so as you can imagine it was a very traditional ceremony. So traditional, in fact, that it was all in Latin. There was an inordinate amount of bowing and doffing of hats, and all of the graduates wore subfusc. For those of you who don’t know, subfusc is the traditional dress Oxford students have to wear for all important events, like matriculation (admittance into the…Continue Reading “I’m With The Graduate”
