A while back, I took a trip with my mum and my grandma to Bath for a night away. It was for my mum’s birthday so we had a bit of a celebration, and it was really lovely to spend some quality time just the three of us. As we were only there for one night, and we had previously made a day trip there, we didn’t see everything Bath has to offer. However, I’ll try to throw in recommendations where I can! After checking…Continue Reading “This is… Bath”

Holidaying in America is always disastrous for my bank account, even when you don’t consider flights, accommodation, and food. That’s because I always, always buy way too much when I’m there. Everything’s just so different, and there are so many things available that just aren’t available in the UK, so any shopping trip whilst I’m over there basically turns into a supermarket sweep (if the supermarket were a mall, obvs). You guys know that I’m mad on make-up and beauty products, so here’s an overview…Continue Reading “HUGE Beauty Haul – USA Edition”

Onto the second part of our trip across the pond! We flew on to Austin, the capital city of Texas, from Newark on the 7th. It’s a really short flight, and something I love is that the time on your ticket is almost always longer than the actual time of the flight, meaning that it’s way shorter than expected! I’ve been to Austin many many times in the past, as my grandma has been living there since I was eight. It’s genuinely one of my…Continue Reading “This is… Austin, TX”

Just some FYIs before I really get in to this post. Firstly, I have been to New York before, with my mum and grandma. We did an absolute ton of touristy things, and were just walking round for like 12 hours a day doing sightseeing, barely stopping to shop or eat or anything (so unlike me, I know). It was an amazing induction into New York’s sights and specialities, but this time, my boyfriend Matt and I wanted to do it differently, so that’s why…Continue Reading “This is… New York City”

We’re going back a while now, but when I was in Barcelona about a month ago, I went and spent waaaaaaay too much money in Sephora. There’s a huge Sephora in a little shopping centre which opens out onto the Plaça de Catalunya. It’s so big that it’s actually downstairs, with a whole level to itself. I was really impressed with the other beauty shops around that area (Rituals, Kiko etc), but Sephora was always going to be on my wishlist for a European holiday!…Continue Reading “Barcelona Sephora Haul”

It’s about time I got round to writing this! It’s currently a fortnight after we got back from Barcelona, and I think it’s best that I get this all down before I start forgetting things. Matt and I traveled to Barcelona from Heathrow for a week at the end of April, and despite getting sunburnt on the second day (oops!)we had a really fantastic time! Just FYI though, this was our third visit to Barcelona in four years, so we were far more interested in…Continue Reading “This is… Barcelona”

As I mentioned in my 6 Happy Things post the other day, I’ve been loving picking up a few high end make-up pieces from time to time. Of course, when I was in London for the weekend, I had to take advantage of all the amazing shops that we don’t get out here in the sticks, so here’s a little round up of what I picked up, and a sort of first impressions or what my opinion is of them so far! We had already…Continue Reading “High End Make Up Haul”

Why I haven’t got round to doing this post yet, I really couldn’t say. We went to Brighton for the weekend as it was my birthday, so we’re talking about 6 weeks ago now! As before, this is a bit of a mash-up post, a combination of diary entry and my recommendations for what to do and where to go if you’re ever in Brighton. Read on if you’re a fan of the staycation, the weekend break, or if you’re just a bit nosy! As well…Continue Reading “This is… Brighton”

Last weekend, Matt and I had decided on a weekend away in London. We’d booked the hotel, worked out parking, and arranged to meet up with friends. Of course, I ended up being ill, but we decided to go anyway. Despite not feeling my best, I still managed to have a good time, so here’s a bit of a throwback to what we ate, where we stayed, and what we bought! We parked up at Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush and went straight into the centre. After…Continue Reading “Capital Weekend”

It was my birthday this weekend so I’ve been trying really hard to not buy anything in the aftermath. This is extremely difficult for me though, so I thought I’d do this haul midweek to cheer me up a bit! This is from my trip to Westfield shopping centre in London after Christmas, where I picked up some great stuff from shops which you often can’t find within about 80 miles of my house (major downside of living in the admittedly very pretty countryside). On with…Continue Reading “Westfield Haul”
