If you know me, or have followed my blog for a while, you’ll know that I love visiting Barcelona. I’ve been multiple times before, but just can’t stop going back! This time, Matt and I went on a super impromptu trip at about 4 days notice, and stayed for 5 nights. I’ll be honest, the following is basically just a food tour of Barcelona and some pics on the beach – enjoy! The beach: The castle: The museum: The park: Olympic Stadium: The food: Aaaaaand…Continue Reading “Ciao BCN”

You may have guessed by now that I’m a bit of a book obsessive! I go through phases of reading constantly and barely reading at all, but I always come back to my love of books. Whilst on holiday in Santorini, we did a bit of a road trip one day around all the main cities (towns?) on the island. In Oia, unarguably the most gorgeous and pristine place on the island, we accidentally stumbled across the Atlantis bookshop. I had absolutely no idea it…Continue Reading “Atlantis Books”

I’m writing this on the plane home, *sob*, heading back to the UK after a week in sunny Santorini. It’s a truly beautiful island, and there’s so much to see and do, so just a few quick facts before I get into it! We went on a package holiday with Thomson, which has its pros and cons. Transfers and everything sorted, but little say over timings etc. I think for our first time visiting Santorini, it was a good idea. Were we to go again,…Continue Reading “This is… Santorini, Greece”

Onto the second part of our trip across the pond! We flew on to Austin, the capital city of Texas, from Newark on the 7th. It’s a really short flight, and something I love is that the time on your ticket is almost always longer than the actual time of the flight, meaning that it’s way shorter than expected! I’ve been to Austin many many times in the past, as my grandma has been living there since I was eight. It’s genuinely one of my…Continue Reading “This is… Austin, TX”

Just some FYIs before I really get in to this post. Firstly, I have been to New York before, with my mum and grandma. We did an absolute ton of touristy things, and were just walking round for like 12 hours a day doing sightseeing, barely stopping to shop or eat or anything (so unlike me, I know). It was an amazing induction into New York’s sights and specialities, but this time, my boyfriend Matt and I wanted to do it differently, so that’s why…Continue Reading “This is… New York City”

It’s about time I got round to writing this! It’s currently a fortnight after we got back from Barcelona, and I think it’s best that I get this all down before I start forgetting things. Matt and I traveled to Barcelona from Heathrow for a week at the end of April, and despite getting sunburnt on the second day (oops!)we had a really fantastic time! Just FYI though, this was our third visit to Barcelona in four years, so we were far more interested in…Continue Reading “This is… Barcelona”

Skiing. Anyone who’s been raves about it, and people who haven’t appear generally indifferent to it. Whether the latter comes through jealousy or inability to go skiing, or whether it is simply an indifference towards the activity, depends on the person. Before going skiing, I can safely say I was indifferent to it. In fact, I was probably more actively against going, convinced I wouldn’t be any good at it and that it was far too expensive. As it turns out, both those things were…Continue Reading “A Beginner’s Guide to Skiing (sort of)”

As I’ve recently been away, I decided to give you guys a little peek inside my travel make up bag. As we were only flying within Europe, we only took hand luggage, which of course meant plastic bags and liquids under 100ml (urgh). I also tried to not pack duplicates, and narrowed my brushes down to just four (shocker!). Anyhow, read on to find out what’s in my travel make up bag.   These are the four brushes which I took with me. Real Techniques…Continue Reading “What’s In My Travel Make Up Bag”

Apologies for my short absence, but I have once again been on holiday! This has been quite the year for holidays, one which I know I won’t get to recreate any time soon, and so I jumped at every opportunity to get out of the country (or sometimes just to other parts of the country). As you may be able to tell, this time Matt and I jetted off to Bratislava, in Slovakia. Most people, when told where I was going, would either reply…Continue Reading “Ďakujem, Bratislava”

Popping into duty free at Heathrow on the way to the US was, of course, quite dangerous. The damage wasn’t too bad, although one of the two things I picked up was the Roberto Cavalli Paradiso perfume in the 50ml size. Since I’d tried it in another duty free on the way to Barcelona in April, I knew I wanted to get it. This is really the perfect understated holiday scent. It’s not obviously a summer holiday fragrance, neither is it too sickly sweet. It…Continue Reading “[REVIEW] Roberto Cavalli Paradiso EDP”
