Christmas Shopping (Blogmas Day 11)

There is nothing I love more than shopping. Christmas shopping, though, is not so fun. Don’t get me wrong, I love buying presents for other people, and I love finding the perfect presents for friends and family. However, I often find when I go Christmas shopping that having a great big long list of everything I need to get kind of takes the fun out of the whole experience! This isn’t helped by the fact that I also end up getting everyone else’s presents from various family members because they don’t like going Christmas shopping either…

It is better, though, when I get to go shopping somewhere good. Yesterday, I went to Milton Keynes where they have a huge shopping centre called the Centre:MK. I only ever go at Christmas, and for good reason. They have a big hall at one end of the shopping centre, and from mid-November, they put up a massive Christmas display, with trees, a grotto, a mini market, a carousel, a shelter-skelter, and even a train. It’s something that I would have loved when I was a kid, and I’m still a fan now! This year, they had create a magical snowy forest, and Santa’s grotto was a giant igloo, which looked amazing. I also managed to get some homemade fudge from one of the little market stalls, which are all housed in little huts. So cute!

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures from yesterday, and I would recommend that anyone visit around Christmas time if they get the chance!
