Winter Beauty Essentials (Blogmas Day 17)

Okay, so this isn’t massively Christmas related, but it is winter related, so that seems close enough! I thought I’d go through a few products which I really appreciate and get a lot of use out of in the colder months. To be honest, I don’t tend to change much, but there are definitely some make up items which I only really use in the winter, and some skincare products which I tend to use far more when the weather is colder and harsher.

Crabtree & Evelyn Pear and Pink Magnolia Hand Cream – This winter in particular I have been getting a bit of dry skin on my hands, and this is perfect for popping on while I’m out and about. And it smells gorgeous!

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense – This is a great, super hydrating moisturiser, which I just use on my face every morning. It’s great for when the cold temperatures and blustery weather are drying on my skin more than usual.

LUSH Lip Scrub – I’ve got mine in the flavour Bubblegum, which tastes pretty good! I really recommend anyone who suffers even vaguely from chapped or dry lips to try this out, it’s so easy to use, really does the job of making lips smoother, and you don’t even need to wash it off, you can actually eat it (I think…).

Glitter Nail Varnish – I feel like glittery nails are really only acceptable in the immediate run up to Christmas, and so I make sure to take advantage of that! I did a post a while back about all of the numerous glitter polishes I’ve been buying, but this one pictured here is a new one which I’ve just received in my No7 Beauty Advent Calendar, which made me very happy!

Shimmery Eyeshadow – Something else which is only really acceptable during the Autumn/Winter months, I definitely take advantage of wearing shimmery and glittery eyeshadows during winter. As I’m sure I’ve said before, I love the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr cream eyeshadows. They are so easy to apply and have great pigmentation and staying power, and come in such a gorgeous range of colours! The one picture above is one of my favourites, Pink Gold.
