Earlier this week I was in Oxford, and couldn’t resist popping into Debenhams to check out the make up counters. I often overlook Debenhams when looking to buy beauty, and they actually have a lot of great brands, including some which can be difficult to get hold of.
Despite also wanting to pick up the Bare Minerals Bare Skin foundation (which, by the way, comes in the tiniest bottle ever), I couldn’t resist picking up a couple of things from Urban Decay, one of which I’ve been after for ages.
Of course, since it’s release was announced, I’ve had my eye on the UD Naked Smoky palette. Every blogger/YouTuber has it, and it’s simply gorgeous! The packaging is a cut above other Naked palettes, and the shades are totally unique and I don’t think I have anything remotely similar. The metallic shades are truly unique, and the mattes add a useful extra element to the selection, which really expands the number of eye looks available. I love it, so expect a review pretty soon!
I’ve been after the UD Naked concealer for even longer than the palette. It’s been featured in YouTube videos for months now, and so many people (including Jaclyn Hill!) seem to love it, so I had to get my hands on it. At the moment, my Nars Radiant Creamy concealer is too light, and the Make Up For Ever Full Coverage concealer I bought in the US over the summer is now a tad too dark on it’s own. So this was the obvious choice. I think Light Warm was the right shade choice for me, and I’m super excited to try this out more.
Hopefully I’ll keep up doing these New In Beauty posts, so this will be the first of many (I buy a lot of make up!). TTFN!
